Happy Holidays,
I hope all is well and you're ready for a nice holiday break. Are you traveling anywhere? We're staying home this year. Carson made the school basketball team and he has several practices over the break. Caitlin played High School golf this year and is still enrolled in karate. She's a great student and is participating in school programs. Jennifer is still working from home and running the kids around. We're starting to get busy at work. I've worked a little OT and will be working more after the break.

I hope all is well and you're enjoying your August break. Carson and I and 23 others from Troop 736 went to Camp Alexander. It's about 45 miles west of Colorado Springs, Colorado in Pike National Forest. Absolute stunning!!!! Wonderful camp, great facilities, great staff, beautiful scenery, loads of activities for the scouts and this year....SWINE FLU. There were some Texas scouts that brought the flu with them and it forced us to leave a day early. We still had a blast and would love to take some of you guys to Colorado some day. I've attached a few photos.

From September 2007 to February 2008 the 209th Scout Troop welcomed Gary and Carson. They were here for a few months because of Gary's work and didn't want to miss out on their scouting while here.
When they arrived Carson was a Webelo (rough equivalent of Cubs as it's not quite the same over there) in
Pack 404. Shortly after returning to Kansas he moved on to Boy Scouts with
Troop 736.
We are still in regular contact with them and will let you know how they are getting on with their scouting in America.
